Many organizations make significant efforts to hire Veterans and military spouses. Yet nearly HALF of military Veterans leave their first job within the first year! Why is that? We know that organizations invest significant resources to hire people; what can we then do to increase retention of these highly capable new-hires.

During this engaging virtual presentation, we’ll get a better understanding into the mindset of a transitioned military Veteran. We will learn what we can do to support the Veteran and retain their talent.

Learning  Objectives

1.    Understand what military Veterans need in a work environment and why they leave their jobs.

2.    Explore what is needed by Veterans and best practices to support Veterans in their post-military careers.

3.    Understand some of the biases and stigmas that we have with Veterans and Service-members, and what to do about them.
