Deep Dive Into HR Audits

Employers have a duty to conduct thorough and impactful HR Audits.  It's important to understand not only what exactly constitutes an HR Audit, but also when to do them, what all is included, and how to prioritize auditing in a busy HR schedule. 

Kathy Henderson, SPHR, SHCM-SCP, Senior Consultant, All Things HR 

Kathy has over 20 years of experience in HR strategy, regulatory compliance, project planning and implementation, employee relations and development. Her broad background in the daily operations of a human resources department has given her insight into the synergy of the many aspects of a strong HR strategy. Kathy's passion is in helping bring this all together. 

Shaping your Voluntary Benefits Strategy

Voluntary benefits have become an essential part of employee benefits packages. They have evolved from being add-ons to being vital components of effective benefits strategies. Supplemental plans offer employees a path to wealth building and financial protection, personal security, and overall wellness.  It's important to understand what to consider when selecting which benefits to offer, and what tools are available to help employees and employers navigate enrollment and administration. 

Christina Buchholz, THRP, Sr. Vice President, Brown & Brown Insurance

Christina's history in the insurance industry spans the many facets of it: she started in benefits administration; she served in executive leadership for a third-party administrator of self-funded plans; she acted as a national account manager for a large carrier, and for the last 15 years, she has been a broker and consultant who strategizes alongside employers to achieve the best value from their employee benefits investment.

 Culture: What, why, and How?

With all the recent talk about corporate culture, it's critical to explore the many facets of team and organizational culture, including the effects of remote work, the impact of management, engagement, and personal & professional wellbeing. Evaluating and improving organizational culture is key to the success of any business in today's climate. 

Kevin Meenaghan, Chief Strategist and President, Wardroom Success Strategies

Kevin has first-hand experience and insight into the power of the Wardroom. Kevin invested 26 years as a Navy pilot and officer. His own personal leadership journey began in the Wardrooms and flight decks onboard aircraft carriers, where his leadership abilities orchestrated the movements of hundreds of crew members as they assisted in the takeoff and landing of aircraft, and the employment of carrier strike group ships. His military leadership reached the highest levels, culminating in the facilitation of meetings with the President’s National Security Advisor, Secretary of Defense and Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Kevin’s business, Wardroom Success Strategies, stems from his time as a Naval Officer. The Wardroom onboard a Navy vessel is the private room for higher-ranking officers, a place where those in management positions gather to rest, take meals, and discuss matters. In the Wardroom, leadership is nurtured and camaraderie grows.
