The Economic Alliance of Skagit County is hosting its third annual Skagit Workforce Summit on Sept. 20. Employers will get up-to-date information on industry employment trends, learn how to connect with educational institutions at all levels to build pipelines of skilled workers, and have the opportunity to network with colleagues.

Hear from educational leaders from the Northwest Career & Technical Academy, Career Connect NW Network at the Northwest Educational Service District 189, Skagit Valley College, and Western Washington University.

In this no-cost event, employers will learn how to:

• Access skilled high school interns with the NW Career & Technical Academy
• Get involved with K-12 through Career Connect NW
• Access customized training programs with Skagit Valley College
• Connect with Western Washington University’s Career Services Center and the College of Business & Economics

The afternoon will wrap up with a panel discussion featuring the day’s presenters. Business owners and hiring managers will come away with actionable workforce ideas to gain a leg up on hiring needs.
