What Does the Recruitment Process Look Like?

Our board recruitment process is designed to be thoughtful, transparent, and supportive. We want prospective volunteers to feel informed, welcomed, and confident that board service is the right fit for them.

Step 1: Informational Conversation
Interested members begin with an informal conversation with one or more current board members. This is an opportunity to learn about the chapter, explore different roles, and ask questions—no commitment required.

Step 2: Formal Application
If you decide to move forward, you’ll complete a brief application to share your background, interests, and the role(s) you’re most excited about.

Step 3: Board Panel Interview
Applicants participate in a panel-style conversation with board members. This is a collaborative discussion focused on alignment, expectations, and how we can best support your success in the role.

Step 4: Member Vote and Appointment
Final candidates are presented for formal approval through a member vote, in accordance with chapter bylaws.

Not Ready for a Board Role? Volunteer With Us!
