Presentation Overview:

This presentation will provide industry best practices for return to work of injured employees. Robbie will also explain two of the Department of Labor & Industries financial incentive programs, Stay at Work & the Preferred Worker program. With medical provider approval, the Department my reimburse employers for 50% of light duty wages, tools and equipment, training and in some instances clothing.

About the Speaker:

Robbie Rotz is a Return to Work Outreach Specialist with the Department of Labor & Industries. He helps employers develop return to work policies for their injured employees. In addition, Robbie educates the business community on how to take advantage of Labor & Industries two reimbursement programs, the Stay at Work & the Preferred Worker programs. Since 2012, the Department has reimbursed employers over 65 million dollars.

Prior to state service Robbie worked in the seafood industry in Operations and Accident Prevention. He began his professional career with his family business in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Robbie is a graduate of the University of Colorado School Of Journalism in Boulder, Colorado.

He has been married to his wife Lorene for 35 years. They have two adult children Alana and Ryan. For recreation, Robbie enjoys fishing in the San Juan Islands and Canada.

Refund Policy:

We will gladly issue refunds for event registrations that are canceled before the early registration deadline. We need to make venue arrangements and order meals in advance and are unable to refund registration fees after the deadline. Substitutions are always welcome. Please have your substitute inform the registration desk that they are attending in your place.
