Presentation Overview:

Skagit County Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services is a non-profit organization serving Skagit County since 1979.  They are the recognized provider of Sexual Assault Services for Skagit County.

They provide services for victims of domestic violence, dating violence, rape, sexual assault, elder abuse and sexual harassment.

These situations occur in all populations.  Come and find out what you need to know about when these situations intersect with the workplace.  Find out what your resources are and what actions you can take.

About the Speaker:

Heidi Roy, Executive Director of Skagit DVSAS, has been with the agency for 8 years, holding several positions, including Shelter Manager and Program Director, before becoming ED in May of 2015. Heidi has a background in business management, graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Washington with a BA in Political Science, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She has mentored and counseled women in various settings for 30 years, and received the 2017 SWAN Business and Professional Women of the Year award for mentorship. Since moving to Mount Vernon 23 years ago, she has been actively volunteering in the community for various organizations and currently volunteers as a Relapse Prevention Counselor for New Earth Recovery.
