February Chapter Meeting
The 4 Principles of Effective Pay Transparency
Currently, about 4 in 10 U.S. workers are covered by pay transparency legislation. We have active pay transparency laws in 16 states and Washington D.C., with Delaware joining in 2027. There are 27 jurisdictions in total if you count states and local/city laws. There are 10 states that have pay transparency bills pending. This isn’t a topic that can be ignored and not addressed. Companies of all sizes are impacted by the laws. An effective pay transparency strategy requires a focus on four principles: Presence, People, Processes, and Performance.
1. Learn how the four principles can help you prepare for the current pay transparency requirements.2. Use facts and figures to tell your pay transparency story and demonstrate improvement.3. How to prepare managers and employees for conversations with BIG feelings.4. Use a framework and process to align pay transparency to your business goals, improve workplace culture, and ensure the attraction and retention of critical talent.
