      Master the Art of Elegant Interruption: Your Path to Conversational Influence

      In this fast-paced, interactive session, learn to use your voice as a tool of influence—assertive yet approachable—to interrupt with confidence, kindness, and purpose. Gain practical phrases and vocal strategies to distill discussions, redirect overtalkers, include quieter voices, and keep conversations focused, inclusive, and on track. Walk away ready to make networking and meetings more productive and effective.

      1. Recognize when overtalkers limit contributions and derail discussion.

      Rebecca P. Murray is a communication catalyst who blends behavior science, tech know-how, and stagecraft to help people speak with clarity, confidence, and influence.

      Session Three
      Cyber Insurance: Not just another boring insurance seminar! 

      Presented by Alex Nephew, Energy & Climate Tech Insurance Advisor, Brown & Brown Insurance

      Learn about common cyber exposures and examples faced by businesses and control methods that can mitigate those risks. This isn’t just a boring insurance seminar, this is an interactive Q & A as well as an open discussion about what your company can do to protect it’s brand and reputation.

      Session Learning Objectives 

      1. Identify the exposures to your organization.

      2. Understand what cyber insurance covers.

      3. Learn risk control methods to potentially mitigate those risks.

      About the Presenter: 

      Alex is part of the Energy and Climate Tech practice. He works with renewable energy projects as well as their construction risks, gaining insight into their operations while analyzing their insurance policies to ensure proper risk transfer. He also brings surety experience and tax insurance knowledge to help his customers fully wrap their projects. Alex has been with Brown & Brown since 2016 as a commercial producer in Seattle, WA. He began his insurance career with a focus on commercial property, working with tribal governments and their enterprises as well as a tribal owned utility. He progressed by learning and insuring construction businesses since 2018. Through this process he regularly reviews contracts and advises his customers on their contract risk and how it relates to their insurance. Twice a year Alex teaches, “Risk and Insurance 101 for Renewables” class for EUCI, an accredited corporation that designs focused conferences and training courses for practicing professionals in the energy field and other industries.


      Alex currently sits on the board of Solar Washington, a not for profit that promotes and advocates for solar energy and was the past President and Vice President and past Chair of the Educational Committee. Alex is working towards his Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation. Alex currently holds two designations from The Institutes: Associates in Insurance and Accredited Advisor of Insurance. He also holds a Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) and an Energy Risk Insurance Specialist (ERIS) designation from the International Risk Management Institute. Through the National Alliance he holds a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)  designation.
